I built a sculpture of recycled materials (wire, a mop, an old guitar, re-purposed materials) of my in-laws Papa and Grammi. This video describes the final location in my eclectic yard. They were out of state for a month so I thought I'd make this for them. They are very precious people to me.

While experimenting with my camera's time lapse features in a Boulder Colorado park, I found Michael Grab working hard at play in Boulder Creek. This short feature doesn't do his work justice but at least you can get an idea of what he does. He's amazing. It's a real joy to see him create these beautiful natural rock sculptures. Lots of people have watched him work. The Daily Camera ran a story about Mike the day after most of this video was shot. This tutorial explains how to use modelling clay (industrial plasticine) for 3D-Sketching. It shows the working techniques and gives tips and tricks about the use of this malleable material which is used in almost all automotive styling studios but also in lots of product design and character design companies. The tangible clay model helps to enhance and understand shapes, surfaces and functionality of your design. Additionally we show how photos of the plasticine model can be used to improve your Copic marker skletches or as a base for your Photoshop work. In the video we use Kolb InDeClay (INdustrial DEsign Clay) which is perfect for small and detailled models as they are used in product-design and character-design. Due to it´s colour this clay shows extremly well shadows and therefore edges, surfaces and small details. In 1883, Antonio Gaudi accepted the commission to continue the construction of the 'Church of the Poor', La Sagrada Familia. Located to the north of Barcelona, this unusual building brought about a return to the teachings of Catholicism and Gaudi devoted the last 40 years of his life to the building that remains, even to this day, unfinished. Completed by Gaudi, the eastern facade is often referred to as the most ingenious sculpture of the century and all four of its facades have been designed to depict the life of the Son of God. The building surprises everyone with its originality yet the main interior is still an enormous building site. The ceiling of the main church is composed of individual sections. The decorative elements contained in the many towers unite to take on the shape of flowers and fruit with subtle screw-shaped columns supporting the ceiling that creates an image of woodland. It is only when comparison is made between Antonio Gaudi's original plans and sketches and present day progress that it becomes apparent how each design element is today being painstakingly realized. Rather than false beautification, and in order to achieve realism, each of the statues and figures derives from photographs and plaster models posed for ordinary people from the streets of Barcelona. This really is a building with a difference!

Oshibe, meaning stamen in Japanese, is a playful interactive music and lighting sculpture. It represents optimistic elements of life, for instance, plants, eggs, light and the moon. When you put a semi-transparent egg on one of five stamens, Oshibe plays different ambient sounds, depending upon the particular combination of stamen. Audiences can create their own sounds, using the locations and numbers of eggs. This interactive sculpture creates a therapeutic and positive atmosphere differently inspired by everyday life.

For me simply recording the sculptures wasn't an option, I wanted to add my own creative touch by using creative compositions, angles and exposures. I'll let you judge if I succeeded.

This is a relatively new UV nail gel product being developed by us. We call it Design Sculpture Gel, or D gel. The idea is have a gel that can easily be sculptured, carved and shaped like acrylic nail extension, but without smell or discomfort to the skin that some clients experience when acrylics is applied. This is a design created by our technician Miss Jessica Park using a #8 gel design brush. To keep the video short, we cut out the time during curing. We will continue to update the status of this gel, and will upload more videos. Currently we are working to add more colors and finalize the designs on our training dvd that will ship with this product.
