Hachiko: A Dog's Story is a 2009 American drama film based on a true story from Japan about the faithful dog Hachiko who waited for nine years for his master to fetch him at the train station (hachiko's waiting place when his master arrive from work). His faithfulness to his master's memory impressed the people of Japan as a spirit of family loyalty all should strive to achieve. A well-known Japanese artist rendered a sculpture of the dog, and throughout the country a new awareness of the Akita breed grew. Hachiko's legendary faithfulness became a national symbol of loyalty.

Junip's drummer, Elias Araya, found inspiration for the video in his father's art; painter and sculpture artist, Kent Karlsson (www.kentkarlsson.net). Elias presents images in a simple, almost icon way using different backgrounds and refracted through a diamond. A few of his father's collection of porcelain dogs also made the video.
