In today's NTD China News, Chinese state-run Global Times blames "foreign forces" for the escalating anti-censorship protests over an editorial printed by Southern Weekly. The Chinese regime has retracted a report that it would abolish the notorious labor camp system this year. Instead, state-run Xinhua reported on Monday that reforms would be carried out. Chinese activist Zhu Zhengzhi has been placed under secret detention, a measure now legal under Chinese law. Zhu called for an investigation into the death of Li Wangyang, a 1989 Tiananmen Square protestor who was found hanging inside a hospital room in June, 2012.
